About Us
Bear Town Bears brought together local artists and corporate/civic sponsors
and
placed life-size,
hand-painted, fiberglass Bears throughout New Bern, North
Carolina. The Bear, being the symbol of
the historic town of
New Bern, was
selected for this public-art project.

|
|
New Bern is celebrating its 300-year anniversary
and all
these whimsical Bears will be
on display
throughout that entire year. The
Bear Town Bears Steering Committee is planning many events highlighting
the Bears during
2010. The installations will
be included as part of the Bear tracks, guiding you through
an art experience of public art
sculptures in the community.
